Sofia and some hipster were spotted at the Phoenix concert in L.A. on 28th June, of course she was supported her man's band! And she was there with her new leading man Stephen Dorff, how do I know? because /mycellardoor is the luckiest guy ever and met them at that concert! somewhere there was stephen dorff

So, I did a little research and turns out Sofia and his lead in 'Somewhere' Stephen Dorff are old friends. Infact, he even supported Sofia's and Zoe Cassavettes' clothing line Milkfed, got to post some pics of that soon.

Some of you said that the new film is not going to focus in a girl as Sofia's projects usually do but remember 'Lost in Transaltion'? the protagonist was Bob Harris but there was Charlotte, a great Sofia girl, so I'm sure little darling Elle Fanning will have all the charm of the Sofia's femmes, and who knows if there will be even more. Anxious to know more details about 'Somewhere'!

Sofia usually goes alone to public events but she said it's because Thomas feels uncomfortable at them, what a sweetheart. I hope they will have many years of happiness and produce some more beautiful babies. They rock!

Fendi 'O' party at Le Milliardaire club - October 4

Sofia and Thomas at the celebration party for Dita Von Teese's birthday in Paris, it's nice to see them together again, Thomas doesn't feel comfortable at public events.

Sofia was dressed in a Marc by Marc Jacobs dress, if I find a pic with Miss Dita I will post it, that's for sure! And she has been at other fashion shows and parties during the Paris Fashion Week, as well as some cute candids with baby Romy back in NYC, more on the way!

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (II)

Sofia and Kirsten at the Marc Jacobs' after party during the New York Fashion Week, it's so nice to see them together again! Kiki seems to be doing good, looking cute and happy and that's so very nice. She was also there with artist Rachel Feinstein and Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth.

Sofia also attended to the Anna Sui fashion show, I'll see if I find some new pics of that.

Sofia about the bad reviews her perfomance in 'The Godfather III' had:

"I was 18 and they said I ruined my father's movie".

That film is such a masterpiece that even her bad acting couldn't take it down. The role was for Winona Ryder but she couldn't do it and people were very cruel to Sofia but at least she made her way into directing and she's critically aclaimed now. So screw all those critics.

Here we have Kirsten and Susan Sarandon (Kirsten's mom in "Little Women"!!) joining Josh Hartnett for his new movie "August" after-party this week, Lux and dirty Trip back together again!

There always have been rumours of these two together, I mean Kiki and Joshie, but never believed them, they seem to be great friends and he has admitted to only have had two girlfriends in his life (his school sweetheart Ellen & Scarlett - he was such a fool for letting her go), but who knows. They would rock it as a couple and I'm happy though that they're still great pals.

Here's Gia with Sofia. Gia is just 21 and is the daugther of Sofia's brother Gio, who died when she was born. I don't know what she does but she has been in some magazines and has taken some photographs. I'm sure she will be another talented member of the Coppola clan!

Sofia and Franics for Louis Vuitton

We at Elleuk.com are hearing exciting things about the latest Louis Vuitton campaign shoot.

Marc Jacobs is calling on his pals for the next installment of the French luxury goods label’s ‘core values’ campaign. He has called on his muse, hip director and model of his own-label fragrance line, Sofia Coppola, as well as her father, legendary director Francis ‘the Godfather’ Ford Coppola. Both recently posed together in Argentina for super snapper Annie Leibovitz, Annie has shot all of the recent LV campaigns. Louis Vuitton have been breaking away from the usual super models for it’s ad campaigns in recent years, picking Mikhail Gorbachev and Steffi Graf and we just love this latest collaboration of film auteurs and fashion. Meanwhile Linda Evangelista has been named as the face of the Prada autumn/winter campaign.

Not just a daddy's girl

Today I was in the mood to post this gorgeous pic of Sofia with her mom Eleanor Coppola. Mommy Coppola has Irish ancestry so Sofia has bood Italian-American and Irish blood and little Romy all of that and French blood as well. What a pretty good mixture, isn't it?

Scarlett, the other Sofia girl?

Much have been said about their relationship as Scarlett was almost not present on the 'Lost in Translation' DVD extras and after Sofia forgot to thank her during her acceptance speech at the Academy Awards. When asked Scarlett said:

"That's not true at all. Sofia was lovely. She was accepting for screenwriting, and Bill basically wrote a lot of it. Sofia came up to me afterward and said, 'Oh, I'm such an ass, I forgot!' I was like, 'It's OK; it doesn't bother me.' If she was accepting for directing, then it probably would have bothered me. But, um, it didn't."

I don't think they had a rocky relationship or whatever because Scarlett would have said it, as she openly did when she said that Bill Murray and her didn't have much contact after shoots just because they did different things, and Sofia has always talked pretty nicely of her so I hope there's no drama and they work together again because that would be interesting. Way more interesting? Sofia directing both Kirsten and Scarlett together.

I like that somehow Sofia and Kirsten have grown up together. The Virgin Suicides was her first film and Kiki was still just a teenager so making Marie-Antoinette together after so many years must have been fantastic. I don't know any future projects of Sofia or if she will continue making films about girls becoming an adult but I really hope she continues working with her girls. You know those two.

26 candles to blow

Yesterday my girl Kirsten turned 26! It's been almost 10 years since she made 'The Virgin Suicides', can you believe? she's got a great future in cinema, you can tell that and I just hope she continues making great projects and maybe one day, I'm sure, Sofia and Kiki will team up again.
